London R&B artist announces gig at The Electric Arcade

Thanks to a new partnership with talented taste-makers Iddy Biddy Promotions, The Electric Arcade is the latest Brighton venue to turn its attention to live music.

After an explosive performance by caramel (with support from AtticOMattic and The Famous People), The Electric Arcade's gig calendar is off to a flying start, with plenty more local artists and touring bands planned to grace our stage in the coming months.

So, what have Iddy Biddy Promotions got planned for their follow-up show? Let's take a look.

Kicking off the night is 21year old producer & songwriter Pastil. His lo-fi dream-pop combines the clean, melancholic vocals of Rex Orange County with wonky bedroom beats reminiscent of Cosmo Pyke or Yellow Days.

The Kent-based songwriter has only treated us to two tracks so far, but to be honest, they're absolutely gorgeous. Have a listen here.

Second up is Blue Hour, an indie/alternative artist from Brighton. His band have a unique sound that is inspired by contemporary acts such as King Krule and Puma Blue but also takes influence from a wide range of artists such as Chet Baker and Radiohead. Blue Hours’ debut EP ‘A Dame To Kill For' is set for release on 1st January 2022.

Sergio Selva headlines the night, bringing his five-piece band down from London for a heady mix of R&B and Neo-Soul. Taking inspiration from the likes of Jeff Buckley, Jordan Rakei and Stevie Wonder to curate his own unique sound, Selva's intoxicating vocals and masterfully crafted songs won't be easily forgotten.

The Iddy Biddy Promotions event will take place on the 10th of November at 8 PM. Get your tickets here.
