Event highlights: What's on this week?

Check out this week's comedy, cabaret, and family highlights at The Electric Arcade.

Saturday 4th September I 8:00 PM

Simon David's magnificently camp cabaret is back, and it's here to stay.

Initially, Gaywatch was a one-off show that proved to be the highlight of the Brighton Fringe Festival, featuring a charming catalogue of circus acts, comedians, drag queens, and quirky performers, spliced together with the welcoming wit of our frenzied host.

The 'mesmerising' (Wee Review) fan favourite was quick to attract a cult following, earning extra dates at The Warren and The Warren on the beach festivals, before being snapped up by The Electric Arcade as a permanent monthly show.

Catch 'hilarious' (British Theatre) frontman Simon David and his carousel of high-energy entertainers this Saturday at 8 PM. The full line-up will be announced soon.

The Psychedelic Fox: Mercury Retrograde

Friday 1st October I 7:00 PM

After a sell-out work in progress show at Brighton Fringe, The Psychedelic Fox returns to the seaside with her newly prepared, polished, practised new show 'Mercury Retrograde'.

We follow Charlotte, the strong but directionless lead who's been forced to take control of her own life. Alongside her shaman flatmate Freddie, Charlotte's misadventures take her down a kaleidoscopic rabbit hole of spiritualism and the underground.

What sounds like fantastical escapism proves to be a daunting but hilarious take on societies most pressing social issues. Expect a masterclass in storytelling and continuous laughs, but it'll leave you with plenty to think about long after the crowds go home.

"Ravishing, playful, and compellingly gross...A fierce condemnation of society's insidious body-shaming.' ★★★★★ - London Pub Theatres

Affirming, ludicrous, surreal and raw...Fox is an astonishing performer.' - Tung Magazine

...and much, much more!

As well as our exciting new events, The Electric Arcade will continue to show its fantastic weekly comedy programme, which consists of Laughable (Monday at 8 PM), Electric Comedy (Friday & Saturday at 8:45 PM), and The Late Show (Friday & Saturday 10:30 PM).
